While aboard, the students learn about
navigation, rules of the road, sailhandling and helmsmanship.
Every sail also includes a lesson in Christian living
using nautical metaphors.
The students learn to appreciate
God’s perfection as displayed in nature.
In August each year this program’s students
participate in a two day educational experience at
the Marine Lab in Key Largo. The teens learn to snorkel
and take classes in coral reef, seagrass and mangrove
ecosystems as well as astronomy. |
